AMSI acquires AdvancED corporate accreditation

During their visit to AMSI in May 2010, AdvancED, a global leader in advancing education excellence through accreditation and school improvement, granted AMSI a 5-year full term corporate accreditation.

AdvancED is the world’s largest education community, serving more than 27,000 public and private schools and districts across the United States and in 69 countries that educate over 15 million students. As the global leader in advancing education excellence through accreditation and school improvement, AdvancED brings together more than 100 years of experience and the expertise of the two largest national accreditation agencies — the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).

ICDL Certification is endorsed for all AMSI schools for ICT education

AMSI has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ICDL GCC Foundation, the governing body and certification authority of the International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL) program, to deploy the ICDL program within its schools in the GCC.

Under the agreement, AMSI will incorporate the ICDL standard within its ICT syllabus. The program will be offered to around 2,100 students ranging from grades 7 to 12 and more than 550 teachers and school staff members in different AMSI schools in Dubai alone.
